HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Allow IBM Connections Cloud Offering to support rich text fields with the "allow-forms" parameter in iframe html syntax

Based on discussions with the IBM Connections Level 3  Support Team, the Cloud install of IBM Connections does not support the "allow-forms" parameter of iframe HTML syntax in rich text fields.  The application "strips" those parameters from the HTML when the rich text content is saved.

As a result, wikis that leverage embedded widgets from applications (such as BOX@IBM and others) that require authentication are not able to properly authenticate because the Form Submit action which permits the SSO Authentication page to be invoked is removed from the iframe HTML.

On-prem installations of Connections such as the IBM intranet installation on w3 work properly.

Therefore I would like to see the IBM Cloud Connections Environment / Wiki needs to allow Form Submit actions.

We need this feature. You could also combine it with white/black listing of the iFrame URL/Source.

I agree. Please implement this functionality. It is much needed.

Wikis should not work differently just because they're in the cloud.   I can't control where my clients setup their wiki pages, but when they can't use my widgets because the cloud wikis don't support them, I get all the heat.  Please implement this simple, but critical, function.

Its analogous to saying when I drive on one road my radio works but when I drive on this other road my radio does not function.  That's just bad for business.
