HCL Connections Ideas Portal
Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

The Connections iOS app does support launching telephone number in the phone app. If this is not working, it may be related to how the phone number was created in the community description.
If you just type in a phone number, the Connections iOS app will auto detect it in the community description and make it clickable so it can be tapped on to launch the phone app.
If you want to create a link with link text other than the phone number and use the URL link button in the community description editor on the desktop, then it has to be entered as tel://<phone number> so the editor sees it has an URL scheme. The Connections iOS app will handle this and launch the phone app. If tel:<phone number> is entered for the link then the editor will append http:// before the link and the Connections iOS app will attempt to launch it in an embedded web browser, which will not work.
