Docs Co-Editing show in depth changes made to files

As a couple of people were working on a file they did not know they were in co-editing.
One left and the other made changes to Values the other Person changed. Him leaving the files the changes of the first person wont be changed and can't be tracked.

It would be good to log the changes made by anybody working on the file. So that it can be traced back to why informations are missing.

I agree that changes should have some kind of better record. Also it is not clear that when multiple people are editing a file when the latest information is shown. for example when 2 people are editing then you can see the other persons edits happening live. However as per the documentation edits are also not published until the laat person exits. This can give the impression that changes are lost when a person exits and re-enters to check the file and does not see them. They then enter the changes again .  Our users have done this and it can cause them to lose confidence in co-editing and instead they lock the file which is effective but reduces collaboration.
