Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.
For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.
oh, so this was likely because folders in Connections act based on a reference model where a file can exist in multiple folders, unlike a traditional file system where a file is contained in one folder. Up until Connections 6.5 we did not retain that association once a folder was moved to the trash and restoring a folder would not bring all the contained files back together...
Sorry to hear that you moved on.
No Kidding. Had numerous conversations with what was then, IBM support. Bottom line was they could not recover the folder structure that contained my files. So while my files are there, there is no longer any associated organization (I.e. folders) to help me find things when I need them. I now just have a list of 15K+ files to look through.
I have since moved on. You can close this issue.
Thanks,
This might need some additional information - folders do sync from My Files, something must have gone wrong.
