HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Upload documents from mobile to community

When uploading documents or pictures from mobile to Cloud, yu can't upload to a community, only to my files. it is nearly impossible to get the document into the right community, without a lot of "hacking".

    Hi,

quick update: the issue is understood and we agree that this is something we should address. We did not fix this in C7 but as we will tackle a major redesign of the overall Connections User Experience next year, this is likely going to be addressed.

    Hi Rene,

If you take a look into the word flies, you will see

On Android phone: If you browse the attached files and try to find a community, you will see that it is not possible to upload file to a specially named community and desired folder. In this case, you must upload the file as your own owned file, and then share it with the community. This is too cumbersome.
On iPAD: Here I can only upload file and 'share with anyone'.

When I want to upload a file to a community, it is not possible to search for a community / folder where I want to save the file. The file is only uploaded to 'My Files' and then I have to find the file and share it with the community I want to upload the file to. The app does not rekognice a community on a mobile device.
