HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Store a copy of the 'Mail to community' mails you send through Connections in the community itself

When using the 'Mail to community' it is impossible to see later which mails were send. It would be nice if a copy (pdf?) of these would be stored in the community files (or another location) as well so you can see which mails were send when and to whom.

This email should appear as part of the Recent Updates stored within the community. This becomes the Communication Portal that adheres to Compliance

Mail sent to the community will also be sent to the sender's mailbox, since he or she is a member of the community. This email can then be transferred to a folder in the community, but it is not very effective. The community should have its own 'Mail Folder' for mails, which is created automatically when the community is created.

This would work well in the Community Recent Updates - Item displays as en email notification.

I've had questions about this for both reasons. Mainly though, people feel that it is important information that should be captured in the community. So Compliance isn't the main focus in this case

Hi Femke, would this be for compliance reasons or simply as a convenience?
