HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

TinyMCE to consider Active Content Filtering rules by Connections

Connections allows to customize Active Content Filter rules. By this, customers are able to adapt blacklist or whitelist to their  needs.

- Whitelist: https://help.hcltechsw.com/connections/v6/admin/secure/sec_acf_whitelist_intro.html

- Blacklist: https://help.hcltechsw.com/connections/v6/admin/secure/sec_acf_legacy_config.html

CKEditor as well as textbox.io consider this ACF configuration by Connections. However, TinyMCE does not. Instead, I learned that TinyMCE maintains its own ACF configuration which can be adapted only by Tiny development. It requires a new release of TinyMCE, and if this release is not supported with the current Connections release, an Connections upgrade as well.

I see 2 options:

- TinyMCE considers the Active Content Filter rules by Connections

      or

- Customers are able to customize TinyMCE own ACF configuration (without requiring a new version)
