Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.
For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.
It's better but what then is the difference between the trending view and the last updated view...
Hey Kenny, I chatted with Fuyi and I understant a bit better now. On the Community card today it states the number of updates, but there is no indication on how many Views were generated.
In an extreme case you could have a public Community with only 30 members, one of which is an Exec who posts a blog and then all 10,000 employess in that unit read the blog, generating tens of thousands of views, thereby pushing this Community to the top, eventhough it only has 30 members and a handful of updates.
How about in addition the the number of updates, we also show the number of views, but leave the sort order as is?
Rene - no ... this page attached. we were told by support that Views of the page result in the community being displayed as recently update.... The trending comment I understand and agree with.. but Recently Updated should be just that...
"Trending" implies that the topic is being viewed, commented on, etc. so visits and reads should factor in. I agree that "Recent Updates" could be interpreted more as changes being made. I assume you are referring to the Community page called "Recent Updates", right? It would be a simple excercise to rename this page via cusomizer.
this change is really a Must DO... How can 'READS' be considered as UPDATES.....very misleading information....
