Share a link to a folder via the windows desktop plugin

With the additional registry entry "EnableSmartLinks" it is possible to share a link to a specific file within the Windows Desktop Plugin. If someone uses the link then the file automatically opens with Microsoft Office.


Additionally it would be very nice if I could share a link to an entire folder as well.
In this case someone could open the link and the folder opens via the plugin.

This would make it much easier to help someone to navigate to a special location within for example a community. Currently I can only send the URL which can not be used with the plugin.
