CentOS Support

Because of the high license fees my company tries to get away from RedHat, but the HCL applications unfortunately still require it. HCL Connections, including all components, seems to work fine on CentOS. But it is not supported.

There are just minor defferences between RHEL and CentOS that shouldn't lead to issues for the product. Component Pack is already supported on CentOS.

So please, add support for CentOS, and ensure that it is fully supported for Connections v7.

Well, CentOS7 is supported right now, but it is also a bit dated.

CentOS8 however has changed its focus to be an upstream build for RHEL8, which is not a good idea for a server os.

What about Rocky Linux? We tested this and it seems to work perfectly fine.

We also prefer CentOS, no need to pay for a proprietary Linux OS
