Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

It's almost been 6,5 years and multiple entries on this question are still open and 'under/future consideration'. Furthermore this functionality is working on windows. How can basic file sync for community files STILL be non-existent on mac. Please, if anyone ever reads this. Fix. This. ASAP.

Number 2 is possible now, so long as the folder is a root folder. Subfolders cannot be added to sync. Once a folder is added, all the content is kept in sync
I'm looking for this feature too.
The possibility to connect to a community with a tool like CMISYNC, for instance.
there's an CMIS API ready.
To me this opens up a deeper discussion about the best practice for desktop file sync:
- sync on demand is great, have the files locally that I currently have used, older disappearing after a number of - say - 60 days
- pinning files that I really want to keep with me
this way you never need to do housekeeping, all which is of interest to you is automatically with you. If you really need to cache (notice the term) a complete folder locally, you should be able to do so, so „cache“ and „pin to local disk“ are the two options I am looking for.
Reasons for this request are large projects and comparable small local disks. We need something that does not mess up my disk space and that does not waste my time for housekeeping the file copies.
open a file -> cached for 60 days. Open it again, counter reset to 60 days.
pin that file -> cache forever.
options should be available to cache a folder - or to pin it.
