Bridge the gap between Connections and Domino.

Make the integration seamless and awesome. For browser, Notes, Verse and mobile. Period.

    Is this idea just about the Mail/Calendar/Contacts of Domino?

     

    That's the problem of one line ideas - they do not cover the complexity completely.

     

    I'd like to see not only integrative steps for PIM (mail/calendar/contacts) but for domino as an appdev platform in general. E. g. SSO between cnx cloud and domino on prem is hard - way too hard.

     

    • The Verse APIs do not let you access mail attachments
    • Domino web widgets in connections cloud communities have to be logged on seperately
    • a calendar ical feed of a community can't be added to your verse calendar in verse
    • important mails do not appear on your orient me feed
    • cnx mobile does not present our domino community widgets
    • deep linking into a specific object inside a domino community widget is not possible
    • no push notification on 3rd party events
    • dirty hacks needed to allow custom dynamic embedded experience content
    • ...

     

    - all that stuff has to improve a lot to give us an integrated digital workplace.

    Fully agree. Have a look at the O365 world where the integration is user friendlier and more convenient. At the moment, there is no proper integration of Calendar with Community Events, Web Chat with Mail, Community Members with Mail list, Survey with IBM Docs Spreadsheet just to mention a few...

    Example: Currently, if I want to sent an email with file attachment (sitting in the cloud) to people within the company AND external people

    Download the file and send all (internal and external) the attached file

    or

    send internal people the file link (works in verse) download it for external people and attach in manually to the second mail, only for external.

    Obviously, the system should KNOW who has access to the file and whow needs it attached ...
