We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. Teams Integration

We, like many others, are relying on Skype for Business for messaging instead of Sametime. I know, there are customers, that have built an integration with S4B in Connections, similar to your Sametime integration offering. It would be so great, if there was more out-of-the-box integration with third party tools.

 

Edit:

More than a year has passed and nothing has happened. Skype is EOL soon, but Teams will take its place. So that means that Teams integration will become even more important. Both ways. Integrate Teams in Connections for chat but also integrate Connections in Teams for File Sharing, Wikis and so on.

    Microsoft is advising customers to move to Teams and will probably move away from Skype for Business

    Absolutely support this idea. We have integrated Skype4Business with the Skype web SDK and had real issues and we may have further challenges with evergreen in the future. Any out of the box integration is highly welcome.
