Customize Community Mail Footer Links Using Variables

While the links in the footer of community notifications can be customized using literal URLs in the associated FTL file, it would be nice to be able to use variables. Using a variable would allow for URL changes within the environment without having to update the FTL file.

For example, within the broadcastMail.ftl the unsubscribe link is set by the unsubscribe.community.url variable by default. If you would prefer that the unsubscribe link refer to the News settings, you can change “unsubscribe.community.url” to “https://example.com/news”. However, the request is that the customization could be made by using a variable such as “digest.newsRoot”. This is just one example. It would be preferable if all such notification customizations supported the use of variables.
