HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Content Moderation for Files Improvement

In connection with IDEACNCTNS-I-761,

we see that you are working for future consideration

of showing metadata and further information for the Files

in Moderations Queue but it would be best to also add 3 more improvements

1. Even there's a version 2 file created, the original version should still exist.

Of course, not to be edited but as a Read Only. We all know that we cannot allow multiple

versions from the original and I get that. But it would best if the original version will

stay so that users will still have the reference.

-Maybe you can add some notification that

"This file has a pending version in moderator's queue"

somethine like that so users can be aware.

2. Please keep the version 1 or the original version even the pending version 2 or 3 or whatever suceeding version was revoked or rejected. It's strange that the original version of file just gone once it's rejected.

3. Lastly, i nthe Moderations queue under Rejected tab just the one beside Require Approval, when the Moderator deletes that file regardless of the version then it become unrecoverable. It would be best if we can have some sort of Trash bin for deleted items in the Rejected tab.

4. So the 4th item already exist, and that's the one in IDEACNCTNS-I-761

I hope HCL Connections Development team see this as a future consideration.

Thank You.
