External email address can't be added while sharing file from IBM Connections Desktop plugin

In IBM Connections Desktop plugin, when we are sharing file externally and trying to add external email address then there is only option to search that email address in directory. However since this is an external email address, it can't be searched in directory and hence it can't be added. There should be an option to add the email address directly without searching in directory. Otherwise files can't be shared externally from Desktop plugin.

In browser, a "+" sign can be clicked to add external email and share file to external user.

That one is extremely annoying. To share with anybody I need to share to should be easy and enterprises who are looking for restriction in these features to protect IP or privacy should be able to opt out of the freedom to share. But normally, we need to share content internally and externally, that’s what business is about. Do be it in the desktop plugin, from Verse or from Outlook, sharing a file to internals AND external collaborators should be as easy as possible. Have a yellow halo around the externals could help to identify them as such, though.

I can reproduce the issue in Connections plug-in for Microsoft Outlook.
