Lack of Connections Theme

Many end users said the design of Connections theme look ugly, boring looks. They compare the Wordpress open social software so many theme designed I guessed.

    Can someone from HCL provide updated documentation?

    I understand that Connections 7 will have various themes when creating a community, but I'd like to know if/when a 'WordPress-like Community Editor' will be available to allow full customization of the Community for non-technical users.

    I thought what was meant by this item is the ability to add an image as a background behind the navigation bar, for example, inside a community, rather than change the whole theme of Connections.

    As Connections is no Open Source software, it wouldn't even reach the diversity of free software like Wordpress. Additionall, it's hard and slow to customize Connections with WebSphere, since no real interface exist for this task. IBM launched the Customizer, which should fill this gap. That's a good and necessary. However, it's very buggy and doesn't work on many modules at all. According to github issues, they're working on a update with some improvements. But nobody wants to say the release date here, too. It's not very reputable from IBM to announce such features without clear termination.

    Connections Cloud has a new theme (Design Update), which can be used to create additional themes, as well.  This is planned for Connections On Premise customers, as well.
