HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Ability to configure whether Notification Center flyout displays blog images

Blog entries display in the notification center when, for example, another user @mentions you or likes one of your blog entries.  If there is an embedded image in the referenced blog entry, the new notification center does not display the image.  Requesting the ability to select whether images are stripped or kept in place in displaying the notification center flyout.

At the moment the image is just not displayed and there is a huge blank space within the notification in the notification center. Nearly the whole blog post text is displayed though and it can be that I can only see two notifications in the notification center at one glance and then I need to scroll a lot. If you don't show the images due to design reasons or to only show "relevant" content then please also think about shortening the displayed text of the blog post so the notification does not take up nearly the whole space.
