HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Improve blog capacity

I'have created a blog entry that cannot be published. I' have made some copy ... paste to Word to understand what happens:

In RICH TEXT format I'have:

2177 words,

14 517 characters.

In HTML SOURCE format I'have:

11 122 words,

113 638 characters.

It appears that the HTML code is not optimized at all:

- number of characters multiplied by a 7.8 factor.

- exemple of trouble:

> despite I use a single font, it is declared 361 lines

> The direction Left to right is declared 119 times.

The idea is to both:

- Remove 100 K limit (or put a higher limit),

- Optimize code (when some paragraphs have the same style, create a style).

We understand the frustration here.  Did you create the blog post in question in the Rich Text Editor, or was it created in Word and pasted into the Blog Rich Text editor?  For blog posts created in the RTE, I am not seeing the same redundancy in HTML source that you are mentioning.
