Just to be clear, this is not a request to enable chat for every user.., that's up to the Administrator, and once assigned their Subscribers can download and leverage the ST client to use ST Chat.
This is for Webchat, or the web-based chat ST application, and that requires the Customer to request enablement, and for Delivery to locate all subscriptions that contain Webchat enablement and action each.
- In the case of Social, S2, and Notes, Chat is assigned as part of the whole package
- In the case of S1, Verse, DE/Apps, DE/S1, Chat is a flexible assignment
- In both cases, there is a Manage Subscription Menu option to Enable/Disable Webchat (see Table 1 below)
It is this aspect of the service, Webchat, that needs to be enabled by default whenever Chat is assigned, either as part of the whole offering, or as part of flexible activation.
