Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

    as a POC we did deliver the abilty to easily share a file from Connections within Slack.

    What I would like to see is that Connections allows a Slack channel to be associated with a Connections Community (or Sub Community) such that:

    • You would have a component view, Slack, that pulled up the #channel (same as Overview, Blogs, Wiki, etc.)
    • Community members could be added or invited to the Slack #channel automatically
    • Files posted to or shared with Community would be available to Slack Channel
    • Ability to link to Blogs, Files, Wiki pages, Activities from Slack #channel

    Because here is no subscription for the integration, my ideas:

    • a Slack app to share Connections files in a channel (like available for Box or Google Drive)
    • a Slack widget for Communities and for ICEC
      • The Community widget should be able to integrate an existing channel or create a channel for all Community members
