Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

When you copy the url of a page in IBM Connections it contains language information in it — like ending with ?lang=en for blog links or http://<root>/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/... for wiki links.
The problem is if you share this link like this (without removing the language formatting part), the user that opens it will get his IBM Connections User Interface overwritten to this language.
This is specially annoying if it transpose you to a language you can not read (e.g. japanese)
The best solution would be to completely remove this language information from IBM Connections links. The language shall only be taken from the user settings (not from the link url)
When is this finally going to happen? It's more than annoying.
Language setting must be in user profile, and the server should always observe it.
This annoys me since a long time. Thumbs up for this Change Request!
I also find it annoying - pls fix it
I find it very hard to imagine a scenario where the current, i.e. "intended", behavior would make sense. I would very much appreciate getting rid of this.
This is a great idea, we have 5 languages enabled and that is simple userfriendly feature. Thanks for the idea
Getting the language changed without it being expected is very un-user-friendly. Saying this "works as intended" is another way of saying "we don't care what users think." Please fix this!!!
Really annoying characteristic, and probably easy to fix
