Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

    Add (private) notes to a contact / profile

    Like in XING I would like to be able to add private notes to a contact. For example when I have met this person, what we did together etc. I have a lot of contacts and it is hard to remember how I am linked to a person.

    Transfer files from a user prior to delete the account

    Allow community owners to decide how they want the files in their community sorted

    Currently files in community files/folders are sorted by last edit date. Sometimes owners want it to be sorted alphabetically. Please allow community owners a setting to do this. As an example, in CCM libraries this is also possible .

    Video Playback on Apple Devices

    The integrated video player, which is used to preview videos uploaded to Files, does not work in Safari on macOS nor in Mobile Safari on iOS or iPadOS. Please upgrade the player to support those devices.
