HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

The Desktop Plugin login page pops up when Microsoft Office Application is oppened, even though user don't have an intention to use plugin ATM

When user opens one of Microsoft Office Applications the Desktop Plugin login page pops up even though user don't have an intention to use plugin ATM and does not have a session - so user must login, otherwise the login page keeps popping up. Would it be possible to disable this functionality and use Plugin only when user clicks on the "IBM Connections" thumbnail or wants to save, open file etc. in HCL Connections.

Thanks for the input. We've been unable to recreate these scenarios. If you can provide any more info, that would be helpful. eg exact steps, client versions, auth type used...

Also, if you happen to be offline when you close a document this often causes MS Office to hang until you have found and closed the Connections login Window (which of course displays a failed connection because you're offline...)
