Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Integration with Microsoft Stream

I would like to be able to conveniently embed videos uploaded in Microsoft Stream from the Connections Editor.

My most common workflow is:

I upload a video to MS Stream and then embed it in a Connections blog, wiki or forum.

It would be very helpful from the Connections editor (in Rich Text mode/not HTML source) to be able to browse for videos and channels in Stream with some filter like "last uploaded by me", "created by me", browse by channels, etc and after selection it is automatically embedded as video in the editor.

(The normal way currently is you have to get the HTML embed code from Stream, switch to HTML Source view in Editor, paste at the right place) Switching to HTML source for this is not very user friendly.

Video shall be automatically centered and properly sized. Maybe add default size options like fit to width, small, medium.

You can contact me if the idea is unclear Thierry.Dalon@continental-corporation.com
