HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Change URL in blogposts when title is changed

When changing the title of a connect blog post, the URL is not changed. The URL can be changed manually, but the setting is hidden. Often, the title is not changed, which means that you have URLs with "Test", "draft" and a lot of typos.

We request to:

* cover this topic as part of the training and notify people with communication roles about this. They often have workflows where they first create a draft before publishing, and often that ends up in the title

* make the setting more visible (visible by default)

* introduce a feature that the user is asked if he wants to change the URL if the title changes.

This requires redirecting old URLs in case of renaming, so that those doesn't break when the title and url is changed.
