user in Employee role should be able to upload a file directly to an external community folder

It's defined by policy that only a part of the user have the EMPLOYEE_EXTENDED role in company.

An user in EMPLOYEE_EXTENDED role creates a community with external access. This user invites other internal users in EMPLOYEE role as well as external users as community members. Inside that community, you have the file application. All community members are allowed to add files and folders.

But when the internal user (with EMPLOYEE role only) uploads a file to a community folder the file is added in the "All Community Files" and must be moved into the specific folder.

Here are the users (in EMPLOYEE role only) steps:

Go to a folder within an external community.
Upload a file.
The file is uploaded but doesn't appear in the folder.
Go to "All community files".
The file shows up here but still not in the specific folder.
The user has to move the file manually to the specific folder.

It's working this way but this is not what we and the end user expect.
Please change this behavior, so that also the user in employee role is able to upload a file in one step directly to external community folder.

I agree, this is a bug and only confuses those involved

I join colleagues. That's a bug in my opinion and should be fixed in V6.5CR1 with an iFix!

It may not be possible that a normal internal user cannot upload files directly to the folder. But external members already. I opened a case for this, but unfortunately the support referred me to this enhancement request.

I agree. For me it is a bug. Why is a user with EMPLOYEE role able to upload to a community but not to a community folder? This is inconsistent.

This issue should not be handled as enhancement request, as the function "Upload a file" is available for community folder and must be working. As it does not, it is a bug from user's point of view.
