Table distorted on delete row operation when columns do not align in Docs

When a table in an MS word document (2016 or latest version) has rows with merged cells across the table, the column width of the complete table gets unaligned/distorted if any row gets deleted.

The document collapses, no undo is available so the result is unusable for the client

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1) Create a file from MS Word (2016 or the latest version) at a local client.
2) Upload a file to docs and edit it.
3) Delete a row in the table.

Result: The column width of the table in the document will get unaligned/distorted.

Workaround :
Manually adjust the width of the unaligned columns to equal width.
