HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Simplicity and ease of use has always been the BIG challenge of Connections. In essence, Connections has a user interface for power users, but none for occasional users.

In this ideas portal we keep coming up with new features to help already proficient users.

What is really needed is simplification to make it easier for new and non-techy users to find Connections attractive and to get started.

    Thank You for the update.

Orient Me has set a new UI standard in Connections. The same type of UI template needs to be applied to wikis, discussion forums, blogs, file repositories, etc... The current UI design for these applications is somewhat dated (especially when u consider and compare it  to Orient Me).

The preview for the new design looks promising.

    Best,

The Visual Update ("Periscope") capabilities offer a lot of improvement in the user experience, and we are prioritizing user experience and navigation as a top priority for current and future releases.
