HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Embedded Experience is missing in Orient Me

The classic homepage offered a very elegant way to get work done: the embedded experience allowed people to stay in the stream and work on event transactions in a popup that opened when clicking the event tile.

In Orient Me this functionality was removed without notice.

I ask for a new embedded experience that copies the UX from IBM Docs by using a full screen lightbox overlay with an 80% width iFrame in the middle in which the EE source URL gets loaded. If or if not the IBM docs sidebar is also available is a set of further enhancement requests - I have very interesting ideas around that area. But one after the other.

With the existing embedded experience in orient me, this can be considered as solved.

Almost done with the current solution. BUT: if your IFrame content is taller than the IFrame height, then the content is presented wit a bottom left fixed view instead of a top left fixed view. In addition, there is no scrollbars available so the top part of your content is invisible to the users. So what I ask for is change the position css formatting within the IFrame a little so that people start viewing our custom content from the top left corner and have a vertical scroll bar of necessary.
