HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

View/Edit .RTF Files on Android

Customer uses .RTF files as storage format for Word Documents. If you try to edit them (although this is an office standard file format!!!) you can not do that with Connections (editor). You can just create a simple rtf file e.g. with "wordpad" on an Windows computer and share it to yourself with Connections. There's no edit available on smartphones (android).

IBM Connections Editor can edit {doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, and pdf annotation}, unfortunately .rtf files are not on the list. For reference:

It would be a great feature, as .rtf is a common document exchange format used on different systems.
