Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

    The "password reset" feature should also work for internal users

    The ability to reset a password from the login page should also work for internal users and not only for external/guest users. Currently it does sort of work, but internal users get an error when they did change their password

    There are too many add-ons and third party tools making connections difficult to install, update, and migrate. Please consolidate all pieces owned my HCL in order to make the administration and maintenance less difficult.

    Automatic tagging based on templates

    Ideally the template management should also allow for automatic tagging when using a specific template, e.g. Meeting Minutes template is already tagged with "meeting minutes" by default. User can add additional tags when page is created.

    There should be an easy way to print single items/topics/pages in Connect, such as a single to-do-item, activity entry or blog entry. Printing via the web browser you get the whole list

    Consistent Emoticon support

    I would like to see automatic recognition of emoticons. So far there are only few emoticons that can be added in the rich editor. But that does not work in the comments.

    Increase guest invitation deadline

    External guests currently only get 24 hours to act upon the invitation email. The link then expires and you have to send them another invite. This is far too short. It should be at least 7 days,
