Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

    Add possibility edit status updates

    Status updates cannot be edited. E.g. typos cannot be corrected an entry must be deleted an recreated. Which is annoying for the author and clutters the feed of followers.

    Upload a photo via mobile device on the connections mobile app to a forum

    Our blue color workers use the forum on the iPhone App. They have a great need to upload photos to the forum. This will help for their maintenance work in the power plants

    Stop to follow your own contents changed by yourself

    In many cases I get notified that I changed my own content. This is not helpful. Please surpress these kind of notifications.

    Adding option to "Accept or Decline" a request to join a moderated community in Homepage Top Updates

    If a user requests to join a moderated community, the owner of the community can only accept or decline the request in Latest Updates. This option is also helpful if it is added to Homepage Top Update/Activity Stream.

    Expiration Date for Wikis and Files

    We miss the function of setting an expiration date. That's very useful. Especially if a document or a wiki is out of date you will be notified by e-mail that you have to create a more recent version. Great NEED with us!
